Dunkirk hosted today the 2nd stage of the French Triathlon Federation Grand Prix.
After their victory in the 1st round in Châteauroux on May 18, Poissy Triathlon wanted to press home their advantage. While Cassandre Beaugrand (1st) and Léonie Périault (2nd) took the top two individual spots, Metz Triathlon won this round thanks to Jeanne Lehair's 3rd place, Hungarian Zsanett Bragmayer's 4th place, and Léa Coninx's 9th place. The third Poissy athlete, Justine Guerard, only finished 16th, which, when combining the places, put Poissy behind Metz. The 3rd step of the podium was occupied by Tri Val de Gray thanks to Hungarian Zsofia Kovacs (5th), Mathilde Gautier (6th), and Jessica Fullagar (12th).
In the general classification after this 2nd round, Metz Triathlon thus joins Poissy Triathlon in 1st place, tied with 38 points. Tri Val de Gray and Issy Triathlon are in 3rd place with 29 points.
The 3rd round will take place on July 28 in Muret (31).

Let's remember that the FFTRI Grand Prix, the French 1st division club championship, is a team competition, not an individual one. At the end of the five stages, the men's and women's clubs leading the general classification are declared French Champions.
