This final was held in the original Equalizer format, consisting of a time trial and 2 mini triathlons chained together with 10 minutes of recovery between the two events.
After a major organizational mix-up that sent the wrong cyclist,Kristian Blummenfelt,to the finish area, taking Vincent Luis and Henri Schoeman with him,the 3.5 km time trial finally resulted in the following ranking:
1.Vasco Vilaca(Por),5’29
2.Hayden Wilde(Nzl),5’32
3.Richard Murray(Afs),5’32
4.Anthony Pujades(Fra),5’33
5.Gusta Iden(Nor),5’34
6.Vincent Luis(Fra),5’34
7.Marten Van Riel(Bel),5’36
8.Kristian Blummenfelt(Nor),5’36
9.Ben Kanute(Usa),5’38
10.Aaron Royle(Aus),5’40
11.Tyler Mislawchuk(Can),5’40
12.Léo Bergère(Fra),5’42
13.Pierre Le Corre(Fra),5’43
14.Henri Schoeman(Afs),5’46
15.Csongor Lehmann(Hun),5’48
This ranking determined the starting gaps for the second event, the Enduro,a sequence of two mini triathlons(300-4-1.5).
After the first swim,Anthony Pujades and Vincent Luis emerged in the lead. The two Frenchmen gained a few lengths, but a general regrouping eventually occurred after 1.5 laps on the bike.Only Csongor Lehmann was missing. The first run created the initial differences, and five men moved to the front:Kristian Blummenfelt,Marten Van Riel,Vincent Luis,Hayden Wilde, and Gustav Iden, the 2019 Ironman 70.3 World Champion in Nice.

Vincent Luis was the first to dive in for the second mini triathlon. As in the semi-final,the Frenchman made an effort over the 300m swim to isolate himself in the lead and started the bike with a 10-second advantage.
The world champion and reigning Super League title holder was caught after two laps by Kristian Blummenfelt,Marten Van Riel, and Hayden Wilde. After the final transition,Kristian Blummenfelt and Vincent Luis broke away. With an incredible acceleration in the last 200 meters uphill,Vincent Luis dropped his opponent and won the Malta stage.
