The festivities began this morning in Lausanne (Switzerland) with the first event: the Junior Women’s World Championship. Jessica Fullagar (Tri Val de Gray) was the only French athlete entered in this Sprint format race (750-20-5). Air temperature: 19°C; Lake Geneva water temperature: 22°C.

Exiting the water in 14th position,10 seconds behind the race leader,Jessica Fullagar then put her bike down in the first group of 13 girls.The French athlete used her running skills to secure a beautiful bronze medal,behind the two Italian competitors:Beatrice Mallozzi and Costanza Arpinelli.
