ROUVY version 4.8 introduces Club Challenges, a new team competition based on 50 real-world routes. The update also brings several enhancements to social features, performance tracking, and virtual shifting.
ROUVY continues to develop its community features. With its 4.8 update, the indoor cycling app launches Club Challenges, a new competition format where members of the same club must combine their efforts to complete a set of 50 routes. The principle: no participant can take on the challenge alone.
Each member can complete a maximum of four routes. Therefore, at least 13 active cyclists are needed to complete all 50 routes. The first challenge began on November 4, 2026.
This new feature follows the launch of Clubs, Communities, and integrated messaging earlier this year. ROUVY indicates that over 1,600 clubs and 230 communities have already been created on the platform, with particularly strong activity among IRONMAN triathletes.

Routes to be distributed among members
The 50 routes offered for each challenge are selected from the real-world routes available on ROUVY. The selection includes short rides, demanding climbs, and long-distance routes.
Members must therefore organize themselves according to their availability and strengths. Climbers, for example, can take on mountainous routes, while endurance specialists can handle long distances. The club’s ranking is established based on the cumulative times achieved on the different routes.
The competition takes place in three phases: preparation, route completion, and results evaluation. Each participant receives additional experience points for completed routes. Clubs that manage to complete all 50 routes also unlock bonus coins for their members. A new Club Points system also allows measuring participants’ progress through the different club levels.

According to Marek-Martin Matyska, VP Product at ROUVY, this feature is based on a principle still underdeveloped in indoor cycling: “Users must collaborate to complete the challenge together as quickly as possible.”
More accessible club search
ROUVY also improves the possibilities of finding a club that matches one’s expectations. The new search function allows filtering structures by country, discipline, and average power-to-weight ratio.
Managers can also specify the periods during which their club is recruiting new members. Club membership now appears directly on cyclists’ profiles.
Other developments facilitate exchanges and the organization of collective activities. Managers can invite members, notifications link directly to relevant conversations, and users can share routes or workouts in posts.
Better performance and activity tracking
Version 4.8 is not limited to new community features. ROUVY also introduces several improvements designed to facilitate session tracking and experience personalization.
A new progress report gathers key information from each session: personal records, trophies, experience points, and challenge progress. The goal is to provide a more complete view of performance and objectives achieved.
The virtual shifting system also evolves for compatible Zwift equipment. It now offers several shifting modes, including configurations inspired by SRAM and Shimano drivetrains. Four presets also allow adapting gear ranges to different types of terrain.
Finally, an integrated mini-calendar displays the next ten days of activity. It groups scheduled routes, workouts, events, and sessions, without needing to leave the application. The update has been available since November 2, 2026.
