Polar is expanding the wearing options for its Loop activity tracker with a new armband designed for sports and high-intensity workouts. The Finnish brand is also unveiling new wristbands, including silicone models with magnetic closures and genuine leather options.
The Polar Loop armband allows you to wear the screenless activity tracker on your upper arm instead of your wrist. Made from a soft, stretchy fabric, it’s designed to provide a secure fit during exercise while still tracking your heart rate and physical activity.
Wearing it on the arm is ideal for intense workouts
With this new accessory, Polar specifically addresses the needs of athletes who want to keep their wrists free during workouts. The armband is designed for activities such as weight training, tennis, padel, or HIIT, where wrist movements and handling equipment can interfere with wearing a traditional device.
According to Polar, the upper-arm placement keeps the Loop securely in place during weightlifting sets, sprints, and repetitions, without slipping or bouncing. The brand also notes that this positioning contributes to reliable heart rate tracking during these activities.
“When worn on the upper arm, the POLAR Loop remains stable during high-intensity workouts and provides reliable heart rate data, while leaving the wrist free to lift weights, grip equipment, or perform other movements specific to the sport,” explains Sanna Meriö, Product Business Manager at Polar.
New Silicone and Leather Straps
Alongside the armband, Polar is introducing a new collection of wristbands to personalize the Loop and adapt its wear to various everyday situations.
The new magnetic silicone strap combines a flexible material with a magnetic clasp designed for easy on-and-off and adjustment. Reversible and two-tone, it offers two styles in a single accessory. Its water resistance makes it suitable for both everyday use and sports activities.
Polar rounds out this collection with genuine vegetable-tanned leather straps, designed for those seeking a more dressy look. These models allow you to wear the Loop in a professional setting or on more formal occasions.
