The 2026 Tour of Lombardy, the fifth and final Monument of the season, takes place on Saturday, October 10. As it does every year, it features a demanding route between Bergamo and Como, with terrain tailored for climbers and puncheurs and a nail-biting finish around Como. The legendary Madonna del Ghisallo climb—8.5 km at an average gradient of 7%, with sections reaching 12%—will set the stage for the decisive battle. The explosive finale will feature a double ascent of San Fermo della Battaglia—a 2.7-km climb averaging 7.2%, with the final ascent coming less than 10 km from the finish.
Tadej Pogacar, winner of the last five editions, will not be at the start. His absence inevitably opens up the race and guarantees a new name on the winners’ list of one of the most spectacular events of the late season.
