LOOK G85 Cezal RS: LOOK’s take on a racing gravel bike

With the new G85 Cezal RS, LOOK is making its ambitions clear: to offer a gravel bike designed first and foremost for competition. Developed in collaboration with American rider Russell Finsterwald, this high-end model aims to combine the efficiency of a road race bike with the demands of the most challenging terrain.

Designed, assembled, and tested in Burgundy, the G85 Cezal RS is built on a modern geometry that prioritizes three essential qualities: agility, maneuverability, and responsiveness. Rather than succumbing to the “all-aero” trend, LOOK has emphasized rider control, steering precision, and overall performance over long distances. The major innovation comes from the high-modulus carbon frame, whose layering process reduces weight by 200 grams compared to the standard G85 Cezal. The result: a frame weighing just 1,000 g in size M, with a 19% increase in stiffness at the bottom bracket and a 20% increase at the head tube. To maintain comfort without sacrificing performance, LOOK retains its 3D Wave Flex system, capable of filtering up to 15% of vibrations while maintaining excellent power transfer.

On the trail, the G85 Cezal RS accommodates tires up to 57 mm in the front and 50 mm in the rear with a single-chainring drivetrain, while remaining compatible with suspension forks offering up to 60 mm of travel. LOOK also emphasizes a realistic approach to performance: according to its simulations, control, comfort, and the ability to maintain speed on technical sections are more beneficial than an excessive pursuit of aerodynamic gains.

Already victorious in competition on prototypes—notably at the 2026 Belgian Waffle Ride Arizona—the G85 Cezal RS arrives with a serious racing pedigree. The frame meets strength requirements 50% higher than the ISO standard and comes with a lifetime warranty, a testament to the French brand’s confidence in its product. Available as a frame kit starting at €3,290, the G85 Cezal RS is also offered as complete bikes with SRAM Force XPLR for €6,990 and SRAM RED XPLR for €8,990. This bike is clearly designed for gravel riders seeking uncompromising performance.
