On September 23, Polar is rolling out Polar OS6, a free update for the Vantage V3, Vantage M3, Grit X2 Pro, Grit X2, Ignite 3, and Street X. This update is primarily designed to extend the watch’s battery life, with more settings and information accessible right from your wrist.

Among the key new features are nine new trend graphs that can be accessed directly from the watch, without having to open Polar Flow on your smartphone.
Polar OS6 also allows you to adjust sport profile settings right from the watch, especially just before a workout. The top-left button is now customizable, so you can assign a shortcut to the function of your choice. However, this feature is not available on the Ignite 3.

Another interesting new feature: you can now limit charging to 80%, a function designed to preserve battery life over the long term. It remains disabled by default.
Polar is also using this update to revamp its interface with new colors, smoother transitions, and more watch faces, while weight can now be entered directly from the watch and tracked across the last seven entries.
Polar OS6 is available for free starting September 23, 2026, on the Polar Vantage V3, Vantage M3, Grit X2 Pro, Grit X2, Ignite 3, and Street X. Installation is simple: just sync the watch with the Polar Flow app.
