MyWhoosh 6.2.0: New Features and Smart Training

MyWhoosh is launching version 6.2.0 of its indoor training platform. This first update of the winter season includes a new smart workout selector, a redesign of the Link companion app, post-event highlight videos, and several improvements to the riding experience.

A Smart Workout Selector to Choose Your Session

The main new feature in MyWhoosh 6.2.0 is the Smart Workout Selector, designed to help riders choose a workout tailored to how they’re feeling that day.

The system takes several factors into account: recovery and sleep quality, muscle soreness, available time, workout goal, experience level, and desired intensity. When enough data is available, recent workout history on MyWhoosh is also factored in.

Based on this information, the selector suggests three workouts, with an explanation of the reasoning behind each recommendation. Of course, the user retains the final decision.

MyWhoosh Link App Upgrades to Version 3

The update also includes a major redesign of the MyWhoosh Link App, making it more versatile.

In particular, the app allows users to browse the session library, schedule workouts in their calendar, track their own activities and those of other users, manage teams and their events, and serve as a companion screen during a ride.

The new Live Ride Presets feature also lets you choose which data is displayed during a session and save different configurations based on the type of workout.

For Apple TV users, the Link App can also act as a hub to connect additional Bluetooth devices when the TV’s connection capabilities are insufficient.

30-Second Post-Event Videos

MyWhoosh is also introducing Event Video Highlights. After certain cycling events, the platform can automatically generate a short video of about 30 seconds using footage captured during the ride.

The montage includes the start, some key moments, and the finish. Once selected on the post-session screen, the video is sent to the user’s profile on the MyWhoosh website, where it can be viewed, downloaded, and shared.

This feature is currently limited to cycling events. Running and rowing are expected to be supported in a future update.

Pulse News: Information During Rides

The Pulse News feature adds a small news feed during Free Ride and MyBunch 24×7 sessions.

Participants can be notified, for example, when a friend or teammate starts riding, when an event is approaching, when a mission or goal is progressing, or when a new Season Pass tier is reached.

The feed remains unobtrusive and can be expanded to show more information or hidden entirely.

Faster Power Response

MyWhoosh also announces an improvement in the platform’s responsiveness. Power fluctuations should now be displayed more quickly on the screen during accelerations, sprints, or changes in pace.

This improvement is particularly aimed at short bursts of effort and rapid changes in pace. Compatibility with several older models of connected indoor trainers has also been expanded.

A Series of Workouts with Tadej Pogačar

Finally, this update coincides with the launch of the new “Train with Tadej” series. Starting September 18, MyWhoosh plans to publish a new session each week inspired by Tadej Pogačar’s training program, drawing in particular on the work done with Javier Sola, coach of UAE Team Emirates-XRG.

The goal is to adapt certain principles from the Slovenian rider’s training to sessions accessible to MyWhoosh users, while tracking the progress of his preparation for the 2027 season.

Pogačar will also participate in a live community event called “Ride with Tadej,” during which he will answer questions from cyclists about his return to training and his preparation for the upcoming season. One participant will also have the chance to win a prize package that includes a Colnago bike, an ELITE indoor trainer, a PISSEI outfit, a MET helmet, DMT shoes, and SCICON glasses.

With version 6.2.0, MyWhoosh is kicking off a series of updates planned for this winter, with a particular focus on the UCI Cycling Esports World Championships in December.
