Castelli introduces its “Transition” concept

Castelli is shaking up the traditional calendar with Transition, a new approach designed for this time of year when summer never really ends and winter is slow to set in. The Italian brand is responding to a now-familiar reality: entire weeks with temperatures between 12 and 20°C—too cool for the height of summer, yet too mild for heavy thermal gear.

Transition is thus a line dedicated to in-between conditions, when cyclists seek versatile clothing rather than a forced seasonal change. At the heart of this new philosophy, the Corretto_LS_Jersey arrives in new colorways. This long-sleeve jersey offers more coverage than the short-sleeve version, while retaining the lightweight, breathable, and aerodynamic fabrics typical of Castelli. It’s perfect for the first drops in temperature without causing overheating. Men can choose from the Steel Fade/Chestnut–Vivid and Night Shade/Elmwood–Rosa Giro colorways.

Women can explore the Paprika/Winter Sky version, which is brighter and more high-contrast. The Corretto LS features three rear pockets plus a fourth zippered pocket for security. Its slim fit and full-length YKK Vislon zipper facilitate ventilation while riding. A silicone band keeps the jersey in place, even during intense efforts. In terms of weight, it weighs 194 g for men and 170 g for women.

Transition isn’t limited to just a jersey: Castelli is already developing more insulated and protective pieces to round out the lineup. The goal is clear: to offer modular combinations to tackle this extended season. Transition will thus include long-sleeve jerseys, lightweight tights, thermal bib shorts, and compact protective layers. A line designed to keep pace with cyclists’ actual schedules, not a fixed calendar. The Corretto LS is available in sizes XS through 3XL for men, and XXS through XL for women. Suggested retail price: €170.
