CADEX Unveils Its New Aero Handlebar, Weighing 255 g

CADEX introduces its new integrated Aero cockpit, a one-piece carbon handlebar and stem assembly designed for road racing. Lighter, stiffer, and aerodynamically optimized, it features a new geometry designed to improve the rider’s position and efficiency at high speeds.

With a claimed weight of 255 g for the 400 × 110 mm version—70 g lighter than the previous generation— the new CADEX Aero cockpit combines a one-piece T800/T1100 carbon construction, a low-drag upper section, and performance-oriented ergonomics.

A more aerodynamic and natural riding position

Developed for attacks, accelerations, and sprints, the CADEX Aero cockpit features a 6.5° drop that naturally brings the hands closer together and reduces the rider’s frontal area. Its compact geometry features a 72 mm reach, a 125 mm drop, and a narrower stem spacing to promote a lower, more engaged position.

The upper section of the handlebar features a new aerodynamic profile designed to cut through the airflow more efficiently while maintaining a comfortable grip during long rides or extended efforts.

A One-Piece Carbon Construction

The new CADEX Aero cockpit is manufactured as a single piece using a one-piece T800/T1100 carbon construction. This design eliminates joint areas and minimizes flex, thereby improving stiffness and power transfer.

CADEX’s precision-reinforced carbon layup technology also allows high-strength fibers to be placed only where needed. The result is a lighter, stiffer, and more durable assembly capable of meeting the demands of competition.

Optimized control in all positions

The handlebar features a variable flare ranging from 4.8° to 7.3° depending on width, providing greater stability when hands are positioned on the lower part of the handlebar—particularly during descents or sprints.

CADEX also highlights improved ergonomics thanks to the flattened profile of the upper section, designed to improve wrist alignment and reduce fatigue over long distances.

The cockpit comes with an adjustable computer mount, offering an angle range of 2.5° to 17.5°, as well as various adapters to ensure compatibility with different CADEX and Giant headset systems.
