Megamo is expanding its gravel lineup with the West

Megamo unveils the West MY27, its versatile gravel bike, which returns in 2027 with a range of new color options. After a successful season, the West retains the qualities that define it: comfort, stability, and speed.

Its control-oriented geometry lowers the center of gravity thanks to a low bottom bracket of 75–77 mm. The relaxed head angle (69.5°–70.5°) ensures predictable handling, even when loaded or at high speeds. With a stack/reach of approximately 1.6, the riding position remains upright, comfortable, and ideal for long days. The 430 mm chainstays provide agility, while the wheelbase ensures stability.
The result: a versatile gravel bike capable of riding fast, exploring, and even racing.

Weighing in at 8.6 kg and equipped with 50 mm Vittoria Terreno T50 tires, it excels on mixed terrain. The West isn’t just an adventure bike—it’s a machine ready for demanding gravel races. The proof: Sarah Diekmeyer will compete in The Rift in Iceland on a West.

On the adventure side, the frame features internal storage and multiple mounting points for bikepacking. The fork offers three inserts per side for racks or cargo cages. The Ø27.2 mm seatpost provides flex and is available in aluminum or carbon, depending on the model. The 2027 lineup includes six models, from the West 15 to the West 01, all built on the same carbon frame. Drivetrains range from Shimano GRX to SRAM AXS, with Zipp or Fulcrum wheels depending on the version.

The West accommodates both single and double chainrings and remains compatible with SRAM UDH and Di2. The official 50 mm tire clearance allows for a variety of tires, from fast to knobby, depending on the terrain. The overall geometry strikes a balance between stability, comfort, and agility. Compared to the more aggressive Silk, the West stands out for its accessibility and control.
