Founded in Annecy in 2016, Matchy continues to grow with a collection designed for cyclists seeking autonomy, comfort, and performance on routes that can span several hundred or even several thousand kilometers.

A collection born from real-world experience

The result of several years of development and real-world testing, the Ultra line consists of a jersey and cycling shorts specifically designed for long cycling adventures. According to the brand, the goal is to offer an alternative to the traditional carrying and hydration solutions used in endurance events.

“Ultra isn’t just about riding for a long time—it’s also about minimizing downtime as much as possible. We wanted to offer a more integrated solution than just a hydration vest,” explains Geoffrey Baudouin, co-founder of Matchy Cycling.

A jersey that combines hydration and storage

The centerpiece of the collection, the Ultra jersey (€299) stands out for its compatibility with an integrated two-liter water bladder. It thus combines the functions of a technical jersey, a carrying system, and a hydration solution.

Thanks to its multiple front, side, and back pockets, it offers storage capacity claimed to be up to four times greater than that of a traditional jersey, while maintaining an aerodynamic cut designed for performance.

Cycling Shorts Designed for Endurance

The Ultra cycling shorts (€269) round out the set with a design geared toward very long rides. Made from a technical fabric woven in Ardèche and reinforced with Cordura Ripstop, they are designed to be both lighter and more durable than traditional cycling shorts.

They feature five storage pockets as well as a high-density chamois developed with Elastic Interface, tested during the Badlands gravel race. The goal: to ensure optimal comfort even after dozens of hours in the saddle.

A Strategy Focused on Sustainability

Beyond product innovation, Matchy continues to highlight its environmental commitment. The brand prioritizes European production, primarily in France and Italy, with a supply chain largely centered around the Lyon region. Depending on the collection, the materials used contain between 30% and 100% recycled fibers.

With this new Ultra line, Matchy Cycling aims to support the growth of endurance cycling and strengthen its position in the long-distance cycling market, while staying true to its DNA: technical, durable gear developed based on real-world experience.
