Unveiled on May 19 in Prague, the new app integrates seamlessly with the Garmin ecosystem. Users can now access ROUVY workouts directly from compatible devices such as Fenix and Forerunner watches or Edge cycle computers, while automatically syncing their running, swimming, hiking, and strength training activities.
With this update, ROUVY aims to offer a more comprehensive approach to training. Companion 2.0 now provides metrics for training load, recovery, progress, and consistency to help athletes better track their fitness over the long term.
The app also introduces new hybrid training plans that combine indoor sessions with outdoor rides. Users can even complete certain ROUVY workouts directly outdoors using a compatible Garmin device.
According to Marek-Martin Matyska, Vice President of Product at ROUVY, “this new version caters to the habits of cyclists who regularly alternate between virtual training, outdoor rides, and other sports activities.” The stated goal is to make ROUVY a year-round training companion.
Companion 2.0 also retains several popular features, such as remote control of the ROUVY app, virtual shifting, real-time data display on a smartphone, and access to the platform’s catalog of routes and workouts.
The ROUVY Companion 2.0 app is available now. General activity tracking remains accessible without an active subscription, while personalized training plans require a ROUVY subscription.
