Apollo Tyres unveils the new Vredestein Superpasso 2, a road tire designed to deliver near-premium performance at a more affordable price. Inspired by the premium Superpasso Pro model, this new tire is aimed at recreational and regular cyclists looking for a good balance between speed, traction, and durability.

The Superpasso 2 features the advanced tread pattern of the Superpasso Pro and incorporates Apollo Tyres’ TriComp technology, which combines multiple rubber compounds to optimize performance. A stiffer center compound improves efficiency and reduces rolling resistance, while softer rubber on the sidewalls enhances traction, particularly in corners and on wet roads.
According to the manufacturer, the new model reduces rolling resistance by 19% compared to the previous generation in the 28 mm Tubeless-Ready version, without sacrificing puncture protection. The tire also retains a sturdy 100 TPI casing and a reinforced cushioning layer to improve durability and ride comfort.
“Cyclists want a fast and safe tire, without compromising on performance,” explains Nic Knippers, highlighting the gains in efficiency while maintaining a high level of safety.
The Vredestein Superpasso 2 will be available in Europe starting in May 2026 in Tubeless-Ready versions compatible with hookless rims (28-622 and 32-622) as well as Tube-Type versions for inner tubes (25-622, 28-622, and 32-622). Two color options will be available: black/black and black/clear.
