The 2026 Boucles de l’Aulne will take place this Sunday, May 17, around Châteaulin in Finistère, on a 177.8-km course that counts as the 9th round of the FDJ United Series. True to its reputation, the Breton race features a hilly and demanding course, with numerous climbs to tackle repeatedly, including the Côte de Châteaulin (800 m at 4%). This grueling profile should favor puncheurs and riders capable of stringing together short, explosive bursts of effort in a race often marked by attacks and tactical maneuvers. While Lewis Askey won in a sprint finish last year, the outcome this time could once again hinge on the favorites’ ability to withstand the course’s many challenges—even though the British rider won’t be at the start to defend his title. The start list promises to be competitive and wide open, with several dark horses capable of making their move in a potentially unpredictable finish. Check out the course, TV broadcast schedules, and the list of entrants for the 2026 Boucles de l’Aulne.
