2026 Morbihan Grand Prix: Course, Schedule, and Entrants

The 2026 Grand Prix du Morbihan takes place this Saturday, May 9, around Plumelec, on a 190-km course tailored for puncheurs. True to its Breton heritage, the race features a hilly and fast-paced first half, ideal for attacks and breakaways, before culminating in a finish well-known to cycling fans. There, the riders will complete several laps of a demanding circuit, dominated by the Cadoudal climb (1.7 km at 6.3%), the true deciding factor of the race. Repeated numerous times, this steady but grueling climb is once again expected to play a major role in the race’s outcome, favoring explosive riders capable of sustaining repeated bursts of intense effort. Under these conditions, a mass sprint seems unlikely, leaving the stage set for a showdown among puncheurs at the summit. The 2025 edition, won by Benoît Cosnefroy at the summit of Cadoudal, perfectly illustrates this scenario, which is set to repeat itself for this new edition on the FDJ United French Cup calendar. Find details on the route, TV broadcast schedules, and the list of entrants.
