2026 Tour de Romandie: Route, Profiles, Entrants, Favorites

With just a few weeks to go before the major spring stage races, the 2026 Tour de Romandie promises to be a top-level showdown on Swiss roads. True to its reputation, the race will feature a challenging course—from an explosive prologue to hilly stages and a high-altitude finale—ideal for separating the contenders in the general classification. And this year, the star-studded field promises a particularly intense battle, with several headliners determined to make their mark. First and foremost, it’s hard not to mention Tadej Pogačar, whose versatility and ability to make a difference on any terrain make him a natural favorite. Facing him is Primož Roglič, already a two-time winner of the race, who is determined to return to victory in a race he particularly loves. The competition will also include David Gaudu, who is always at ease on mountainous terrain, as well as the promising Lenny Martinez, who is on the rise. Not to mention solid dark horses like Sergio Higuita and Antonio Tiberi, who are capable of throwing a wrench in the works on such a demanding course. From the prologue in Villars-sur-Glâne to the final climb to Leysin, every stage could reshuffle the deck in a race where consistency will be key. Find details on the route, TV broadcast schedules, and the list of riders for the 2026 Tour de Romandie.
