Shimano continues the development of its GRX gravel range by unveiling new chainring and crank options, designed to improve both performance and rider comfort.

The brand thus introduces two new 44 and 46 tooth chainrings, complementing the existing 40 and 42 tooth sizes. These additional options allow gravel riders, especially those focused on competition or riding on faster terrain, to benefit from larger gear ratios. The result: better efficiency at high speed, with reduced chain cross-chaining and friction. These chainrings remain compatible with current GRX cranksets, in single or double chainring configurations from the 600 and 800 series.

In parallel, Shimano also expands its crank offering with 160 mm and 165 mm lengths, in addition to the standard 170 mm, 172.5 mm, and 175 mm. These shorter cranks aim to improve comfort and pedaling efficiency, especially on long rides. They promote a higher cadence and limit stress on the joints, an asset for the most demanding gravel practices.

With these new products, Shimano confirms its desire to adapt its GRX range to the diversity of gravel uses, whether for performance, endurance, or adventure.
