POC unveils the new Amidal helmet

POC unveils the Amidal, a helmet designed for cyclists who want to combine style, safety, and efficiency, whether in the city, in a criterium, or on long Gravel rides.

Its unique design features a streamlined silhouette, clean lines, and reinforced rear exhaust zones that optimize ventilation. POC integrates a perfectly flush Knog rear light for maximum visibility without aesthetic compromise.

Magnus Gustafsson, Head of Equipment, emphasizes the helmet’s balance: lightweight, stable, and incredibly comfortable, thanks to a PC/EPS construction that combines rigidity and contained weight. Aerodynamics and cooling were validated via MFN simulations, confirming controlled airflow, even at high speeds. Internal channels precisely guide the airflow, providing constant cooling during climbs as well as on flat terrain.

The 360° adjustment ensures a uniform fit, without pressure points, while the fully adjustable straps allow for a custom fit. POC also adds a glasses storage system, practical during changes in light conditions. For safety, the Amidal adopts Mips Air Node technology, the lightest version of the anti-rotational system.

The Knog x POC light, sold separately, uses COB technology to deliver 30 lumens in a compact and waterproof format, with up to 26 hours of battery life in eco mode. An accessory designed to be seen, day and night, and perfectly integrated into the helmet.

With its sharp design, high-level ventilation, and comprehensive approach to safety, the Amidal establishes itself as the new high-end versatile helmet for road and Gravel.

Price:
€240 for the helmet and €40 for the light (sold separately)
