Classic Grand Besançon Doubs 2026: route, schedule, start list

Now a well-established event in the French spring calendar, the Classic Grand Besançon Doubs returns in 2026 with a strong field and a course true to its reputation: demanding, nervous, and tailored for punchers-climbers. Between the winding roads of the Doubs region and the final climb that makes the selection every year, the fifth round of the FDJ-United French Cup once again promises a spectacle. On the sporting front, several headliners are already attracting attention. Defending champion Guillaume Martin will be particularly watched, as will his teammate David Gaudu, always formidable on this type of profile. Winner in 2023, Victor Lafay will also be a serious contender, as will experienced riders like Wout Poels or Emanuel Buchmann. Broadcast times, detailed route, TV coverage, and the complete list of starters: here’s everything you need to know to not miss anything from this 2026 edition.
