Vittoria introduces two new wider options for its high-performance rims

Road tires are getting wider, and Vittoria intends to support this evolution. The Italian brand announces the arrival of two new widths – 38 mm and 42 mm – for its Corsa Pro Control, now designed for degraded roads and compact gravel.

This extension responds to a clear trend: modern road, endurance, and Gravel-race bikes now offer wider tire clearance and aerodynamic optimization for larger tires.
The Corsa Pro Control, the flagship of the Corsa Pro range in 320 TPI cotton, remains the preferred choice for extreme conditions such as the Northern Classics.
The new widths retain the proven construction, tread, and Graphene compound already adopted by racers.

Tests confirm that the ideal balance between speed, comfort, and control is between 28 and 30 mm, but the market is now exceeding this limit.
With these new formats, Vittoria targets cobblestones, broken roads, and light gravel, without sacrificing performance on asphalt.
The tire retains a slick center for efficiency, while reinforcing durability and grip thanks to a herringbone texture on the shoulders.
This evolution reflects current usage: more and more cyclists are adopting a versatile road-gravel bike, often equipped with two sets of wheels.
In this context, maintaining speed, aerodynamics, and consistent handling becomes essential.

“We follow trends, but only act when they bring a real benefit,” emphasizes Vanessa ten Hoff, Chief Marketing & Innovation Officer.
For more technical terrains, the brand nevertheless reminds that its dedicated Gravel range remains the benchmark.
