This sportive is part of the Forest Cime challenge, whose 12th edition will be held from June 26 to 28, under the patronage of Jura native Alexis Vuillermoz, a stage winner on the Tour de France. An emblematic endurance event, the Forest Cime traditionally takes place over three stages across the Ain and Jura regions. To open the event to a wider audience, the organization is transforming the second day into a timed sportive, co-organized with the ECAM.

The course will feature the mythical ascent of the Grand Colombier, the highest point of the two proposed routes (131 km or 95 km). A 55 km cyclo-touring ride completes the offer for enthusiasts wishing to enjoy the landscapes of Haut-Bugey. Alexis Vuillermoz, already present last year, will be delighted to rediscover his childhood training roads.
In parallel, the Forest Cime Challenge retains its “all inclusive” three-day format, limited to 150 participants, with two options: performer (402 km, 9130 m D+) and discovery (288 km, 6390 m D+). The routes, at a free pace, include timed climbs, among them the formidable ascents of the Grand Colombier via Culoz and the Col de la Biche.

The event aims to be both sporting and convivial, open to competitors seeking summer preparation as well as enthusiasts from all over Europe.
Registrations are open on la-forestiere.com. The Forest Cime alternates each year between the Ain and the Jura, in addition to the Forest Gravel.
