Pierre Rolland makes a strong statement by opening the BikingMan 2026 in Brazil

The 2026 BikingMan season is off to a flying start. From the very first race in Brazil, riders were plunged into an event as fast as it was demanding, immediately setting the tone for the championship. After more than 500 kilometers of effort, Pierre Rolland won decisively. The former professional, a two-time stage winner on the Tour de France, completed the course in 21h22, showing impressive consistency and remarkable adaptation to the demands of ultracycling.

An extreme course in the heart of Brazil

The 555 Serra Geral course, starting from Orléans in the state of Santa Catarina, offered over 500 kilometers and nearly 9000 m of positive elevation gain. Between asphalt roads and long gravel sections, participants traversed landscapes as spectacular as they were formidable: Araucaria forests, isolated agricultural areas, steep canyons, and wild rivers.

In total autonomy, riders had to manage navigation, nutrition, and fatigue, tackling about twenty climbs in a demanding environment where every mistake could be costly.

A strong podium

  • 🥇 Pierre Rolland — 21h22
  • 🥈 André Froes — 23h53
  • 🥉 Rafael Augusto — 24h45

An early favorite

With this clear victory, Pierre Rolland positions himself as one of the main favorites for the 2026 championship. But the competition remains fierce, and the next stages in Morocco and then Corsica could reshuffle the cards.
