The new TYRO marks the arrival of a completely redesigned third generation. True to FFWD’s DNA, this evolution aims to offer more performance, durability, and value, without increasing the price.

Lighter, faster, and more versatile, the TYRO maintains its accessible positioning while gaining technical maturity. Its new rim, more aerodynamic and featuring an internal width of 23 mm, paves the way for true Allroad use.
Already popular with Gravel cyclists, it now accepts tires up to 45 mm, strengthening its off-road appeal.

FFWD also introduces a new hub, the N/LITE, inspired by the N/GAGE, optimized to reduce weight without sacrificing reliability.
The internal system remains based on the FFWD ratchet, a guarantee of proven robustness.
In total, this redesign allows for a weight saving of 100 g, for a final weight of 1575 g per pair.
Despite these improvements, the price remains unchanged at €1099, a strong argument for cyclists looking for a serious first upgrade.
The rims remain hooked, ensuring maximum compatibility with all types of tires and setups. FFWD reminds that for more committed Gravel use, the DRIFT range remains the benchmark. Compared to the RYOT44, the TYRO adopts a more classic design, an 18T hub, and Sapim Sprint spokes in a 1:1 lacing pattern. A coherent package, designed to offer a performance-to-price ratio difficult to match in the Allroad segment.
