SCOTT strengthens its gravel team for the 2026 season

SCOTT kicks off the 2026 season with ambition and announces the arrival of five new athletes to its gravel team. A strategic reinforcement that confirms the brand’s commitment to the international scene and its desire to play a leading role in the world’s biggest gravel races.

On the eve of a new season, SCOTT is proud to welcome Alexis Skarda and Matthew Wilson, two accomplished athletes with solid track records and well-established reputations in the gravel world. Their arrival immediately brings depth, experience, and winning potential to the roster.

They are joined by Olivia Hottinger and Sophie Vitzthum, two rapidly progressing talents making their mark on the gravel scene, as well as Nils Correvon, whose unique profile blends high-level competition with ultra-endurance adventures.

Together, these five athletes embody the SCOTT gravel spirit: audacious, versatile, and resolutely performance-oriented.

  • Alexis Skarda (USA)

Age: 36

A powerful and technically accomplished athlete, Alexis Skarda confirmed her status in 2025 with an overall victory at the Swiss Epic, a 2nd place at Little Sugar, and a 3rd place at Chequamegon. Coming from mountain biking, she also excels in the Life Time Grand Prix, where she competes against the world’s best endurance athletes.

Consistent and formidable in races, Alexis has finished in the top 5 of the Life Time Grand Prix overall standings every season since the championship’s inception. By joining SCOTT, her objective is clear: to aim for victory in the biggest gravel events.

  • Matthew Wilson (New Zealand)

Age: 25

Originally from New Zealand’s North Island, Matthew Wilson joins SCOTT with the ambition of securing his spot in the 2026 Life Time Grand Prix via the wildcard system, following in the footsteps of his friend and teammate Cam Jones.

Already invited in 2025, he distinguished himself with an aggressive and fearless racing style, narrowly missing victory at Big Sugar Gravel. Feared in the peloton for his audacity and high pace, Wilson possesses all the qualities to reach a new level this season.

Olivia Hottinger, Sophie Vitzthum, and Nils Correvon complete the team

For 2026, SCOTT also welcomes Olivia Hottinger (SUI), Sophie Vitzthum (USA), and Nils Correvon (SUI), three complementary profiles bringing energy, ambition, and versatility to the team.

Olivia Hottinger excels when conditions get tough. Mud, rain, and demanding courses stimulate her competitive spirit, rekindled in 2025. This season, she will participate in several major gravel races, including the legendary Traka 200.

Still relatively new to cycling, Sophie Vitzthum quickly made a name for herself with convincing results, including a 2nd place at the 2024 Mt. Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb and a 3rd place at the 2025 UCI Gravel Switzerland. She embodies a rigorous and determined approach, balancing high-level sport with her studies.

With over 20 years of experience, Nils Correvon brings a rare richness to the team. From high-level downhill to ultra-endurance and bikepacking adventures, he embodies versatility, resilience, and a constant desire to compete against the best.

With these five new athletes, SCOTT reinforces its gravel identity: intrepid, ambitious, and ready to push the limits on all unpaved terrains. The 2026 season promises to be intense.
