With the new SLR Racing Replica, Selle Italia reaffirms its racing heritage more than ever. Ultra-light, radical, and directly stemming from top-level experience, this saddle embodies the very essence of performance developed alongside the best professional teams. A strong launch, which is part of the brand’s continued commitment to UCI World Tour and UCI Pro Teams for the 2026 season. With a featherlight weight of only 109 g, a carbon frame co-injected into the shell, and carbon rails: the SLR Racing Replica is designed for cyclists looking for an uncompromising product, built for competition.

SLR Racing Replica: World Tour performance accessible to all

Presented as the purest expression of Selle Italia’s performance DNA, the SLR Racing Replica brings the expertise gained on the roads of the biggest international competitions to the general public.

Integrated into the new SLR range launched in 2025, it is aimed at demanding cyclists seeking lightness, responsiveness, and a sleek design, with an aesthetic immediately identifiable as racing.

The saddle retains the iconic SLR shape, a historical reference for the Asolo brand, while benefiting from targeted evolutions to meet the current standards of modern competition.

Carbon Technology and Advanced Design

At the heart of the SLR Racing Replica is the Carbon Fiber Skeleton: a carbon frame co-injected into the shell, developed in collaboration with the Austrian company Fibionic. This technology reduces the shell thickness to just 1.5 mm, while maintaining a high level of rigidity.

Combined with specific EVA padding and a new-generation carbon rail, this design ensures maximum lightness without compromising stability. Tests carried out by professional athletes have demonstrated durable rigidity superior to that of traditional saddles, even after long hours of racing.

Compact, Radical, and Performance-Oriented

The saddle length has been reduced to 242 mm, which is 6 mm less than the previous generation, thus approaching the limit allowed by UCI regulations. This more compact format reinforces the decidedly racing positioning of the SLR Racing Replica.

The padding has also been completely redesigned: shorter and reduced to a minimum on the rear part. Analyses carried out using Pressure Map idmatch technology have indeed shown that this area is little used and not critical for comfort, thus allowing for additional weight savings without a negative impact on ergonomics.
