Factor unveils the ONE: its fastest road bike ever

Factor Bikes makes a big splash with the launch of the Factor ONE, a road bike that the British brand presents as the fastest in the world under UCI rules. An ambitious claim, supported by solid aerodynamic data… and a stage victory in its first WorldTour appearance at the Critérium du Dauphiné 2025, where we had a glimpse of it as a prototype.

A bike born from a radical question: how far can we go?

Rather than evolving an existing model, Factor started from a blank slate. The objective: to push the speed of a UCI-legal bike to the maximum regulatory possibilities. Engineers analyzed new trends in modern cycling: more aggressive positions, narrow handlebars, shorter cranks, wider tires… The ONE integrates all of this natively, without compromise.

Revolutionary aerodynamics with its bayonet fork

The visual signature of the ONE is its bayonet fork combined with a “chin-shaped” front fairing. This architecture, made possible by recent changes in UCI rules, required hundreds of CFD iterations. The result: control of airflow from the front of the bike and extremely reduced drag, even when the wind angle exceeds 15°, a point where most bikes lose their efficiency.

Performance that surpasses the competition

The figures announced by Factor show the extent of the difference:

  • +8% compared to the OSTRO VAM 2.0

  • ~15% faster than a Cervélo S5 (2024)

  • +22% compared to the Specialized Tarmac SL8

  • Maintains an aerodynamic advantage beyond 15° of crosswind

According to Factor, no other UCI-approved bike has shown superior results to date.

Reinvented ergonomics for modern positions

To allow riders to adopt more extreme positions without sacrificing stability, Factor has completely redesigned the steering interface:

  • The handlebar is no longer directly linked to the steerer tube, which allows for previously impossible adjustments.

  • The integrated cockpit eliminates the traditional stem:
→ 5 lengths available (equivalent to 110 to 150 mm)
    → 3 rise heights
→ up to 15 mm of adjustable spacers
→ 35 mm of perfectly aero stack range.

Factor has also adjusted the bottom bracket height to compensate for the use of shorter cranks and voluminous tires, thus regaining optimal stability.

Sizes, colors, and prices

The Factor ONE is available in five sizes: 47 – 52 – 54 – 56 – 58 cm, and four colors:
