The event will start on Levante Beach in Puerto Banús, with a swim in the Mediterranean Sea in a paradisiacal setting, carried by the cheers of the crowd gathered on the shore. Athletes will then follow with a demanding 90 km bike course, leaving the coast to climb into the Andalusian hinterland via the famous “Golden Mile”, before tackling the ascent towards the white village of Ojén. The hilly and panoramic circuit crosses the landscapes of Monda and Coín before returning to the Puerto Banús marina. The last part, the 21.1 km half-marathon, will lead runners along Marbella’s magnificent seaside promenade, to the iconic pier which offers, on a clear day, a view of Gibraltar and the Moroccan coasts.
Between turquoise sea, perched villages, and festive atmosphere, this 2025 edition promises to be one of the highlights of the IRONMAN season, bringing together the planet’s most seasoned athletes in a setting as demanding as it is sumptuous.
