Vazy: the bike serving a new way of life

We spent an entire afternoon with Loïc Robbiani, founder of the Vazy app. Over coffee, personal anecdotes, and sincere confidences, he told us about his journey, his doubts, and his dreams. As the hours passed, it became clear: Vazy is not just another app, but a vision, a way to rethink our mobility and give cycling a new role in our lives. We left convinced and eager to share this story with you…

Before Vazy: A Busy Life Without Direction

We, passionate cyclists, know what it’s like to turn the pedals to move forward, sometimes without really knowing where the road leads. Before launching Vazy, Loïc Robbiani lived a bit like that: a well-defined career, between marketing and sales, within large companies. He worked in the world of toys, sports, and veterinary products, navigating between responsibilities, incessant travel, meetings, and quarterly objectives.

From the outside, everything seemed perfect: a solid resume, positions of responsibility, material security. But inside, something was amiss. “I spent my time in the car, on planes, on trains, rushing from one appointment to another. I was no longer aligned. I wanted to give meaning to my life.”

Sport already played an essential role in his balance. But he practiced it as a refuge, an escape. A life of intensity, without true breathing room. Until the day the mechanism broke down.

Symbol of a determination that doesn’t stop at the Ironman finish line.

The Trigger: Daring to Leave Everything to Pedal Differently

We know what it’s like to be afraid to step out of line. Loïc experienced that dizzying feeling. Leaving a stable job, putting his career on the line, exposing himself to the judgment of others: “Am I jeopardizing my family? Is it worth it?”

The trigger came from a dual movement. First, the weariness of a life of endless motorized travel. Then, a deep, almost visceral desire to contribute to societal change. “With a close friend, we talked a lot. I wanted to shake things up regarding mobility. Why not get around differently, more simply, more actively?”

The seed was planted. Covid was the watering can. The health crisis slowed the world down, opened cracks, and allowed for different thinking. Loïc chose to jump into this breach. He sold his car. He decided to rethink his personal mobility. And most importantly: he decided to create Vazy.

Already on the path to change: scooter instead of car, freedom instead of habit.

The Birth of Vazy: From an Idea to a Concrete Project

Like the start of a race, the hardest part isn’t always riding, but clipping your shoe into the pedal. The start of Vazy was like that: a lot of energy, but great uncertainty.

He had to create a prototype (an “MVP”), find funding, convince partners, and build a team. “I had nothing, just an idea. I had to sell a project, a concept. And that’s the hardest part: convincing when you don’t even exist yet.”

Little by little, Loïc surrounded himself with people. A communication specialist, a few convinced supporters, shopkeepers ready to take the plunge. And most importantly: the first users. Because a project cannot live without its community.

Behind every idea, a team: Vazy’s first pedal strokes, between passion, screens, and conviction.

Vazy Daily: Turning Journeys into Green Currency

Concretely, how does it work? The app recognizes your active modes of transport (walking, cycling, scooter, and soon carpooling and public transport). With each active journey, you accumulate points. These points become advantages: discounts, vouchers, exclusive offers at local businesses.

Every pedal stroke, every step, becomes a doubly useful gesture: for your health and for your wallet. Even better: for the planet. The application calculates the avoided carbon footprint, materializing the real impact of each choice.

One user recounts that after a few months, she sold her car. Others report “90% more good mood” after changing their habits. These are not just numbers: these are lives that are lightened, routines that are reinvented.

Vazy’s strength also lies in gamification. Loïc himself says: “Gamification is incredible. We see it even in education or animal learning: we change behaviors through play.” Here, we change mobility behaviors. And it works.

Supporting the Vazy Adventure: When the Community Takes Over

As in any good breakaway, there comes a time when the baton is passed. Today, it’s up to the community to take part in the adventure.

Loïc and his team have launched a crowdfunding campaign to accelerate Vazy’s development: new features, expansion of the partner network, establishment in major French cities… Every contribution, even symbolic, becomes a collective pedal stroke towards more active and sustainable mobility.

Supporting Vazy means encouraging a project that combines ecology, innovation, and the joy of moving.

Beyond the ecological and fun aspects, Vazy is also a real good deal for your wallet. Thanks to the points accumulated with each active journey, users can enjoy a vast catalog of partner brands and exclusive discounts. Well-known brands such as Adidas, Etam, Promod, IKKS, Swarovski, Clarins, Marionnaud, Nocibé, Nature & Découvertes, C&A, King Jouet, Oxybul, L’Orange Bleue, Cap Adrénaline, Truffaut, Flixbus and many others, offer discounts of up to -17%. With a Premium subscription, these benefits become even more attractive. In short, moving more also means spending less — a new way to combine health, ecology, and purchasing power in daily life.

Vazy is More Than an App: It’s a Societal Project

We, cyclists, know how much cycling can be a tool for escape, performance, and passion. But Vazy reminds us that it is also, and perhaps above all, a tool for daily life. Cycling to work, cycling to pick up children from school, cycling to the bakery: every journey counts. And Vazy values them.

The app is not just for athletes or enthusiasts. It also targets local authorities, businesses, and shops. For the former, it is a lever for public policy in favor of sustainable mobility. For the latter, it is a way to build loyalty and boost local businesses. For the third, it is a new form of purchasing power.

Loïc is convinced: “Vazy is at the crossroads of ecology, purchasing power, and proximity.”

After words, movement: Loïc Robbiani and a user in the saddle, embodying the Vazy spirit.

Loïc the Entrepreneur: Between Doubts and Convictions

But behind the app, there’s a man. Loïc doesn’t hide his doubts. “There are days when I wonder if I’m going to make it. If I’m not jeopardizing everything. But overall, I have no regrets. I chose freedom.” He also talks about his balance: that between the life of an entrepreneur, an athlete, a father, and a husband. “It’s a matter of organization. But one of my priorities remains sport. Because that’s where I find my energy.”

He has built a close-knit team, a supportive circle. He knows that the adventure is not a solitary one. As in a successful breakaway, you need relays.

A Big Future: From Local to International

And tomorrow? Loïc sees far ahead. In 2025, the objective is clear: strengthen presence in France, establish itself in major cities (Marseille, Toulouse, Montpellier, Bordeaux, Paris). A fundraising round is envisioned. International expansion will follow, with caution but ambition.

The idea is not to become just another app, lost in the stores. The idea is to become a daily reflex. For every French person to say: “I walked, I cycled, I saved, I contributed.” The place Loïc wants for Vazy in our lives is simple: a catalyst for change. Not a miracle solution, but a piece of the puzzle. And an essential piece.

« VAZY was born from the idea of rewarding those who make the effort to get around in ways other than polluting modes. »

Message to the 3Bikes Community: Beyond Sport, Cycling as the Future

And what should we take away from this? That cycling cannot be limited to our Sunday rides, our structured training sessions, our competitions. Cycling is also – and perhaps above all – a means of transportation. A lever to transform our cities, our lives, our planet.

We love cycling too much to reduce it to a leisure activity. It’s time to put it back at the heart of our daily commutes. Loïc’s message is clear: let’s ride for pleasure, let’s ride for performance… but let’s also ride to live differently.

Technology serving a more active, simpler, more conscious lifestyle.

In Conclusion, Vazy, a Gentle Revolution That Can Change the Game

The story of Loïc Robbiani and Vazy is that of a man who dared to leave comfort for the unknown, the familiar for meaning. A story of doubts, courage, sport, and conviction. But above all, it is a story that concerns us all. Because every journey we make is a choice. Every pedal stroke is an action. Every active kilometer is a victory.

So yes, let’s continue to fight for our personal records, for our times, for our watts. But let’s not forget: the biggest challenge, the one that awaits us all, is to transform our mobility. With Vazy, this challenge becomes accessible, concrete, and fun. And perhaps, together, we can make this concept explode. Because ultimately, cycling is not just a sport. It is a revolution.

Because every action counts: Vazy congratulates its users for their daily commitment.
