Raphaël Jeune is no stranger to the world of cycling. A professional rider in the early 2000s with the CSC team, he competed in major classics such as Milan-San Remo, Paris-Roubaix, and the Tour of Flanders, as well as stage races like Paris-Nice. After hanging up his bike, he successfully transitioned into sports management and marketing. First as an event manager, then as Sports Marketing Manager at Look Cycle International, Raphaël Jeune developed sharp expertise in sponsorship strategy, managing partnerships with athletes, and promoting international events.
« Cofidis has been part of the peloton as a sole sponsor for 29 years. Today, we are very happy to welcome Raphaël Jeune to write a new chapter in Cofidis cycling. His experience, his deep knowledge of international cycling, and his management qualities will be valuable assets to pursue our ambition of making Cofidis shine on roads worldwide », declares Gilles Sauret, President of Cofidis Group.
Raphaël Jeune, honored by this appointment, shares his enthusiasm: « Joining the Cofidis team is a privilege. This team embodies values of commitment, team spirit, combativeness, and performance to which I am deeply attached. Having worked alongside this team in the past, I know its strength and professionalism. My ambition is to make it grow even further, capitalizing on its talents to aim for new collective successes. »
A tribute to Cédric Vasseur, architect of recent successes
Raphaël Jeune’s arrival marks the end of Cédric Vasseur’s tenure, who led the Cofidis team from 2017 to 2025. Under his leadership, the team rejoined the World Tour in 2020 and distinguished itself on the biggest international stages, notably with two stage victories in the 2023 Tour de France, as well as successes in the Giro d’Italia and the Vuelta a España. These performances strengthened the team’s visibility and competitiveness.
« Cofidis Group wishes to commend Cédric Vasseur’s commitment and professionalism throughout these eight years. Under his direction, Team Cofidis achieved great successes, including two victories in the Tour de France in 2023 », emphasizes Gilles Sauret.
For his part, Cédric Vasseur leaves the team with emotion: « I leave with great pride after intense years. I thank Cofidis Group, the riders, and all the staff for their trust and commitment. I wish Team Cofidis many beautiful and great victories in the future. »
Cofidis: a historic commitment to cycling
Since 1997, Cofidis Group has invested in cycling, a sport that embodies its values of courage, self-transcendence, and team spirit. Present in nine European countries, the brand supports numerous cycling events through its subsidiaries.
A commitment to diversity and inclusion
Beyond performance, Cofidis stands out for its commitment to diversity. As early as 2009, the team created the first para-cycling division within a professional cycling team, allowing athletes to practice their sport in optimal conditions while raising public awareness of para-sports. In 2021, Cofidis launched its women’s cycling team, now composed of 11 riders united to proudly wear the brand’s colors.
With Raphaël Jeune at its helm, the Cofidis team looks to the future with ambition. Building on its heritage, its talents, and its values, the northern French team is ready to continue to shine on roads worldwide, while embodying the spirit of innovation and commitment of Cofidis Group.
