As summer draws to a close, Zwift, the world’s most popular indoor training platform for cyclists, unveils a packed program of new features. The goal? To make training more accessible, personalized, and exciting than ever. With artificial intelligence (AI)-based recommendations, a revamped Zwift Click for total immersion, and new routes inviting exploration, autumn promises a wealth of discoveries for Zwifters of all levels.
September: A Back-to-School Season Full of Innovations
September marks the kick-off of an intense competitive season, while also making the platform more accessible for beginners.
Launched in 2024, the Zwift Ready program expands in 2025 with a more varied range and attractive prices starting from €250. Compatible indoor trainers – offered by Wahoo, Elite, Van Rysel, JetBlack, and Garmin-Tacx – include the pre-installed Zwift Cog, ensuring compatibility with almost all bikes. Shipping begins on September 9, making entry into the world of Watopia simpler and more affordable.
In terms of practicality, the Zwift Click gets a makeover. These new virtual controllers, launched on September 9, integrate navigation and shortcuts inspired by the Zwift Ride and the older Zwift Play. More compact, compatible with flat and aero handlebars, they cost less and make steering easier during races or training.
Competition is in full swing with formats for everyone: the Zwift Racing League starts on September 16, followed by zRacing, the Zwift Games, and thousands of community events. For greater fairness, the Zwift Racing Score becomes the default categorization system, with 11 refined categories. A “score decay” penalizes inactivity (more than 30 days), based on recent best efforts, and organizers can opt for the score from the last 30 days.

The fun doesn’t stop at the finish line: after a group event, Zwifters can now extend the experience in the virtual world to chat, share moments, or do an extra lap, just like on a real ride.
For training, Zwift Camp returns in full force. The “Baseline” series, the most popular to date, launches an enriched version on September 15 with three annual camps (Baseline, Build, Breakthrough). Ideal for structuring the winter, it allows participants to choose one or more programs to progress step by step.
In the Drop Shop, MyCanyon colors make their appearance starting September 25. The first of its kind, this option allows you to purchase bikes in personalized shades, with other drops to come to customize your virtual ride.
Finally, born from a partnership with Pedal Mafia, the Watopia Essentials collection offers versatile premium apparel, perfect for both indoor and outdoor use – a true investment for the connected cyclist.
Autumn: Exploration and Personalization on the Menu
Autumn brings its share of adventures and improvements to boost motivation. From October 6 to November 16, Zwift Unlocked replaces the Tour de Watopia. This new multi-stage tour offers new long and short routes, with XP bonuses for participants.
The New York map expands massively: +31 km of roads, including 20 new courses (16 cycling, 4 running). From historic Prospect Park to the futuristic neighborhoods of Uptown, it’s the largest extension in years. Available in October, it promises dynamic and varied sessions.
Power segments revolutionize time trials: an evolution of sprints, focused on pure watts for a personal challenge. At the end of each segment, compare your performance to the last 90 days and the global ranking. The rollout will extend to other Zwift worlds.
After the success of the summer Fitness Trends, Zwift goes further with self-adjusting goals and personalized recommendations starting in November. Thanks to AI and outdoor data (XP tracked via Wahoo, Garmin, or Hammerhead), the app suggests activities adapted to your fitness, goals, and history – to progress faster without paralyzing choices.
At the end of each session, a new progress screen summarizes everything: fitness score, training status, goal advancement, current streaks, bike upgrades and level, racing score… A clear dashboard to visualize your gains.
Finally, Tweed is Speed: the world’s most stylish race comes to Zwift! A virtual series of the Brompton World Championship, over an autumnal week, to combine elegance and foldable speed.
With these updates, Zwift transforms winter into a launchpad for a top-notch spring.
