The 24 Hours Cycling Škoda, a must-attend amateur cycling event, has been sold out since January, with 3200 bibs allocated in just a few hours. Participants from 15 countries will set off on August 23rd and 24th on the legendary Le Mans circuit, solo or in teams of 2, 4, 6, or 8 riders.
Nacer Bouhanni, former professional cycling star (2011-2023), will mark the event by giving the start of the race on Saturday at 3 PM. Competing with the Compex team, the former French road champion 2012, with over 70 victories including six stages on the Giro and the Vuelta, will bring his aura to this edition. An exceptional sprinter, the Épinal native shone in four Tours de France, four Tours of Spain, and two Tours of Italy.
An open race and teams to watch
The general classification promises to be hotly contested, with teams like Chasse Patate and Frive, with strong ambitions, and Esprit Vélo, a regular in the top 10. In the women’s category, the duel between Sprinteur Club Féminin, defending champion, and Team MSV Féminine, victorious in 2023 and second in 2024, promises an intense spectacle.
Practical information for spectators
Entry is free for visitors. Parking is accessible via Avenue du Panorama (“Parking Rouge”), and pedestrian access is through the Panorama Entrance. The detailed program is available on the official website.
La Matinale: a family ride
On Saturday, August 23rd, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, La Matinale Le Maine Libre-La Sarthe invites young and old to cycle the Bugatti circuit in a friendly atmosphere. Helmets are mandatory and speed is limited to 30 km/h for this one-hour ride.
See you in Le Mans for a weekend of cycling passion!
