Charity auction on Catawiki in tribute to Raymond Poulidor with Merci Poupou

As part of the Tour de France 2025, Catawiki is partnering with the Merci Poupou initiative, led by the Alpecin-Deceuninck team, to pay tribute to Raymond Poulidor, an emblematic figure in cycling. This fifth edition coincides with the 60th anniversary of Poulidor’s victory on the Mont Ventoux stage in 1965 and the five-year anniversary of the Merci Poupou project.

To mark this event, a special jersey, designed in collaboration with KALAS, features the colors of the 1976 Gan–Mercier–Hutchinson team. This jersey was worn by the riders during the rest day ride on July 21, before the stage between Montpellier and Mont Ventoux.

An auction for a charitable cause

Since July 24, Catawiki has been hosting a charity auction featuring exclusive Merci Poupou items. The funds collected will be entirely donated to associations supporting youth sports, the rehabilitation of injured athletes, and the fight against cancer, notably through Kom op tegen Kanker.

Among the items offered:

  • Official Merci Poupou jerseys worn and signed by the riders.
  • Limited edition Oakley glasses.
  • Special edition ABUS bike locks.

This sale celebrates Raymond Poulidor’s legacy while supporting charitable initiatives. Since 2021, Merci Poupou has raised over €500,000, and Catawiki is honored to contribute to this effort. Bidding is open on the Catawiki platform, offering cycling and collection enthusiasts an opportunity to acquire unique items while supporting important causes.
