smart and Trek unveil an exclusive smart #5 in Tour de France colors

For the 2025 cycling season, smart and Trek are partnering to present a unique version of the smart #5, adorned with Trek’s Project One ICON “Couler” design, seen at the Tour de France. A smart #5 inspired by the Tour de France

This special edition of the smart #5, a premium mid-size SUV, adopts the “Couler” design of the Lidl-Trek team, characterized by fluid patterns, expressive textures, and dynamic pictorial touches. This style reflects the spirit of freedom and creativity shared by smart and Trek.

The smart #5, the brand’s most spacious and technologically advanced model, stands out with its bold design and adventure-oriented features, making it a vehicle well-suited for cyclists.

A collaboration rooted in innovation

Previous collaborations between smart and Trek include the Madone Gen 8 Ultimate Project One road bike and an electric mountain bike inspired by the smart #5 and #5 BRABUS models. Successfully launched in China, Europe, Hong Kong, and recently in Malaysia, the smart #5 has been well-received by the public and media. This new project reinforces the two brands’ shared vision: to encourage an active and limitless lifestyle through unique creations.

Events to celebrate active mobility

In addition, smart and Trek will organize “4+2 lifestyle” events in China and certain international markets. These initiatives will include bike rides accompanied by the smart #5 and Tour de France viewing parties. Launched at Auto Shanghai 2025, the “open your mind Experience” campaign aims to offer immersive experiences that embody smart’s values.
