Strava, the app dedicated to sports activities, unveils a revamped version of its recording interface, designed to simplify and enhance performance tracking on mobile. Available from July 16, 2025, this update aims to offer a more intuitive experience to users.
Based on data from the Year in Sport Trend Report 2024, which indicates that nearly 75% of users record their activities via the mobile app, this redesign integrates optimized features.
Among the new features:
- Improved navigation: thanks to an update of the mapping rendering engine (MRE), maps offer detailed display and smooth navigation.
- Segment Tracking: subscribers can track their performance on Live Segments in real time.
- Simultaneous display: statistics and the map are now visible on a single screen, even while moving.
- Real-time paces: splits are displayed live for precise tracking of distances covered.
- Live Laps: an upcoming feature will allow users to mark laps at custom intervals to analyze their performance.
Subscribers also benefit from advanced options, such as 3D maps, winter map styles, or Heatmaps.
The update is available now on Android and will be rolled out on iOS in the coming weeks.
