The Q36.5 Dottore Clima bib shorts are designed to offer high comfort and performance during rides in hot weather. First, they are very light (150 g in size S). Second, they have a thin appearance with visibly breathable fabrics, without neglecting a multi-density chamois pad with a particularly soft coating. Finally, the finish is resolutely high-end, as evidenced by the sewn holographic logos and the saddle contact area, which uses a different fabric to improve durability.

High-end Design
The Q36.5 Dottore Clima features an exclusive high-density fabric, adorned with chevron patterns on the legs, which provides progressive compression that promotes blood circulation while remaining very breathable. This fabric incorporates a silver thread, offering antibacterial and conductive properties, while reducing, according to the brand, the impact of electromagnetic smog (all electromagnetic fields generated by electronic devices, wireless networks, antennas, or power lines, omnipresent in the modern environment) to limit muscle fatigue.

The ergogenic cut, designed to optimize physical performance and comfort by adapting to the biomechanics of the body in motion, reduces seams thanks to strategically placed panels, improving pedaling support and decreasing fatigue.

An ultralight fabric at the abdomen, incorporating a specific thread that acts as a heat dissipator, improves breathability to maintain an optimal body temperature. Minimal seams eliminate pressure points, enhancing comfort. The tubular straps, soft and breathable, with an elastic mesh and a wide back opening for ventilation, offer great freedom of movement.
The interface with the saddle benefits from an innovative pattern, eliminating the central seam, often a source of discomfort. A Dyneema panel improves durability and thermoregulation thanks to the conductive properties of polyethylene fibers.

The Q36.5 UNIQUE chamois pad adapts to human anatomy, minimizing friction during pedaling. Its double-layer design, composed of high-density open-cell foam, allows the two layers to function independently, without bonding or lamination, offering advanced performance. This ultra-breathable structure optimizes moisture management, ensuring lasting comfort in hot conditions.

The finishes, worthy of Italian manufacturing, are meticulous. The raw-cut leg openings stay in place without silicone. A durable water repellent (DWR) treatment protects against light showers. Reflective logos add a discreet touch of class to these bib shorts, available in two colors (black and navy), seven sizes, and, for the black model, in two leg lengths. The careful packaging reinforces the premium aspect of the product.
Absolute Comfort
During the first try-on, the Dottore Clima bib shorts seemed almost a little large in size S at the straps when standing, as they are so soft and unrestrictive on the torso. But in the cycling position, they don’t move, remain perfectly supported, and thus prevent most long-term annoying chafing.
The compression in the legs is not bothersome, and the bib shorts are quickly forgotten. The thigh grip is neither restrictive nor leaves marks on the skin. Right out of the box, we rode 160 km without the slightest discomfort or pain!

The contact with the chamois pad is very soft, and the absence of a seam across its entire surface is a real asset. Thick enough to absorb shocks, it remains dense enough to maintain a feeling of connection with the road. Its hold on the bib shorts prevents any unpleasant chafing, and its breathability is excellent, even in strong heat.
Even if the Dottore Clima bib shorts show traces of mineral salt loss after a long summer ride, they never give the impression of causing overheating. In case of strong heat, the aggressive cut, combined with adapted compression, is perfectly suited for long, intensive rides.

This model is thus one of the most comfortable we have tested. It is ideal for intensive use, on long and particularly demanding rides.
The high price reflects the Italian production and advanced technologies, which may limit its accessibility. But in terms of comfort, is it better to invest in one or two very high-end and durable bib shorts, or opt for several simpler models, less well finished, and sometimes disposable after a few months of use? That’s up to you to decide…
