Orbea unveils the Terra Race, a gravel bike designed to deliver optimal performance on varied and demanding terrains. Developed in Mallabia, Bizkaia, this model combines an ultralight OMX carbon frame, race-optimized geometry, and refined aerodynamics, meeting the needs of competitors seeking speed and precision.
A light and stiff frame
The Terra Race is built around an OMX carbon frame, weighing 910 g, which is 300 g less than previous models. This frame uses high-modulus fibers, laser-cut and precisely arranged to maximize stiffness where needed while reducing superfluous weight. The OMX fork, weighing 425 g, complements the frame by offering stability and agility, ideal for fast and technical sections.

A design focused on speed
The Terra Race’s design incorporates several elements to minimize air resistance:
- Fully internal cable routing for a clean aesthetic and improved aerodynamics.
- Integrated OC SH-RA10 Aero cockpit, optimized for stiffness and fluidity.
- Hidden saddle clamp, inspired by Orbea road bikes.
The rear part of the frame is designed to absorb high-frequency vibrations, keeping the wheel in contact with the ground for efficient power transfer, even on uneven surfaces.

Geometry designed for competition
The Terra Race adopts a Gravel Racing Geometry, inspired by road bikes and adapted for gravel.
This geometry includes:
- A lower stack and longer reach for an aerodynamic position.
- Optimized bottom bracket height for high-speed stability.
- Precise handling on rough terrain.

The frame’s stiffness, adjusted by size, ensures consistent responsiveness for all riders, whether they use a small or large frame. This design allows for immediate acceleration and precise control, whether exiting a corner or climbing.
Versatility and customization
The Terra Race adapts to riders’ preferences thanks to:
- Compatibility with single or double chainring drivetrains.
- Tire clearance for up to 45 mm, allowing for adjustment of grip and comfort.
- UDH dropouts for easy replacement and wide drivetrain compatibility.
- OQUO RP50LTD carbon wheels (50 mm rim depth) for increased aerodynamics and stability.
The configurable cockpit offers options such as flared handlebars, stems of different lengths, or a 15 mm rise handlebar for better control. Orbea’s MyO platform allows for customization of paint, components, and finishes to meet performance goals and aesthetic preferences.

Availability and finishes
The Terra Race is available in three standard colors: Frozen Concrete, Spaceship Green, and Sunset Carbon. Models will be available from launch.
