ENGO launches “Heart Rate Zone” in field of view

ENGO smart glasses now go further in training tracking by displaying key data directly in the field of vision. The new Heart Rate Zone (HR Zone) widget further simplifies intensity tracking. Thanks to intuitive visualization, athletes instantly identify their effort zone (from Z1 to Z5), avoiding watch-related distractions and optimizing their mental and physical performance. Compatible with Garmin (and soon Apple Watch), ENGO thus further facilitates effort adjustment by minimizing cognitive load, and always without taking your eyes off the road.

Lightening the Mental Load of Performance Tracking

For endurance athletes, constantly checking their watch creates a disruptive cycle: looking down, processing numbers, adjusting effort, losing focus, repeating. This “task switching” depletes mental energy, induces micro-spikes of adrenaline, and breaks that precious state of flow where the ride seems effortless. This cognitive burden can reduce mental performance by up to 40% during a training session and has a significant impact on the perception of effort, making everything more difficult when it matters most.

The new Heart Rate Zone (HR Zone) widget of ENGO smart glasses frees riders from this “uncertainty / watch consultation” cycle. Each training zone appears distinctly, with a dynamic cursor precisely indicating where the current heart rate is located within its personalized zones.

Availability

The widget is compatible with Garmin watches (and soon with Apple Watch). No complex settings: heart rate data is automatically synchronized and displayed in the glasses at the start of the session.

With this system, the user can:
