A Global Virtual Cycling Celebration
On the occasion of World Bicycle Day, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is partnering with MyWhoosh to organize a 24-hour global celebration on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. This initiative invites cyclists of all levels to connect to the MyWhoosh platform and ride virtually in homage to cycling, a sport that unites enthusiasts across the world.
24 Hours, 6 Routes, One Unique Celebration
From 00:00 to 23:59 UTC, the World Bicycle Day Ride event will offer virtual rides on six varied routes, inspired by iconic locations. Every hour, a new ride will start on one of the itineraries, and each route will be available four times over the 24 hours. Thus, cyclists from all over the world will be able to participate at a time that suits them, regardless of their time zone.
Here are the six routes on the program:
Hudayriat Octopus Loop (Hudayriat): 28 km, 40 m elevation gain
City Loop (Australia): 25.7 km, 256 m elevation gain
Coffee Route (Colombia): 27.8 km, 98 m elevation gain
The 7 Jewels (Arabia): 32.8 km, 206 m elevation gain
Kluisbergen (Belgium): 24 km, 138 m elevation gain
Hikari Hills (Japan): 19.1 km, 251 m elevation gain
The event will begin at midnight UTC with the Hudayriat Octopus Loop, before moving on to a new route every hour.
How to Join the Event?
Participating is simple and free! No registration is required. On June 3, go to the Events section of the MyWhoosh app, select World Bicycle Day Ride, and choose one of the 24 time slots between 00:00 and 23:59 UTC.
Open to everyone, regardless of level or experience, this event will highlight inclusivity. Participants will wear a special virtual World Bicycle Day jersey, and each route will be enhanced with visuals celebrating this global day. For an optimal experience, MyWhoosh’s MyShift virtual shifting system will be activated, ensuring smooth pedaling.
