Gran Fondo Les Sybelles La Toussuire 2025: discover the new routes!

See you on July 13 and 14, 2025

After the resounding success of its first edition in 2024, the Gran Fondo Les Sybelles La Toussuire returns for a new cycling adventure in the heart of the Alps. Following a municipality’s refusal of passage on last year’s routes, the organization has redesigned the courses to offer the 600 expected participants an even more spectacular experience. Here’s everything you need to know about this unmissable event!

Sunday, July 13: the La Toussuire Climb

To kick off the weekend in style, cyclists will set off from Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, from the Opinel roundabout, for a legendary climb. With 14.8 km and 1,100 m of positive elevation gain, the La Toussuire Climb promises an intense warm-up in a magnificent setting.

Monday, July 14: three courses for all levels

On National Day, it’s time for festivities with three courses to choose from, in timed or touring format:

Short course (52 km, 1,500 m D+): ideal for touring riders, this spectacular route includes the famous Lacets de Montvernier and the Montée de La Toussuire. Accessible, yet breathtaking!

Medium course (98 km, 1,900 m D+): perfect for challenge enthusiasts, this circuit combines the Lacets de Montvernier, an escapade in the valley, and the Montée de La Toussuire.

Long course (128 km, 2,800 m D+): reserved for experienced cyclists, this route worthy of a mountain stage links the Lacets de Montvernier, the Montée Opinel, the Col du Mollard, and the Montée de La Toussuire. A demanding challenge, but enhanced by breathtaking landscapes.

In 2025, the Gran Fondo Les Sybelles La Toussuire will also be the third round of the Cyclo’Tour Classified, a national challenge bringing together six of France’s most beautiful sportives.

Cyclo Week: an extended cycling experience from July 15 to 18

To prolong the pleasure, the La Toussuire Tourist Office offers Cyclo Week, a unique immersion in the world of cycling. From July 15 to 18, discover legendary passes such as the Galibier, the Croix de Fer, or the Madeleine, as well as lesser-known routes, guided by certified instructors and local cyclists.

Each day, enjoy a complimentary welcome coffee in the valley and a refreshment stop at the summit. Various activities are also planned for companions, so that the whole family can have a memorable experience.
