Cannondale launches its all-new Synapse

Synapse: an icon that redefines road endurance

For 20 years, the Cannondale Synapse has been pushing the boundaries of road cycling. Far from ultra-nervous race bikes or overly sedate comfort models, the Synapse created a new category: endurance. It combines WorldTour-level performance, lightness, and comfort for passionate cyclists. Here’s why the Synapse remains a benchmark for real-world roads. Cannondale is launching the sixth generation today, with some new features to further optimize the experience for endurance cyclists… and others.

Performance and lightness delivered

The new Synapse excels with its ultra-light carbon frame (under 1000 g for the Hi-MOD version, 1150 g for the standard), optimized for stiffness and aerodynamics. Tested by champions like Lachlan Morton during his record-breaking tour of Australia, it offers high efficiency and precise handling, even on demanding terrain. With compatibility for tires up to 42 mm (48 mm at the front), it’s ready for any adventure.

Comfort and customization: a revolution

Thanks to advanced carbon design, the Synapse is 18% more compliant than its predecessor, absorbing vibrations from rough roads. Its construction Proportional Response adapts geometry and stiffness to each frame size, ensuring a perfect fit for all cyclists. The result: long-distance comfort without compromising performance.

Smart technology for a serene ride

The second-generation SmartSense system integrates smart lights, a Garmin rear radar, and a hidden battery offering up to 24 hours of autonomy. More discreet and powerful (up to 800 lumens for the front light), it improves visibility and safety. The Cannondale wheel sensor, connected to the app, provides precise data on speed, distance, and maintenance.

Practicality and versatility with StashPort

The new StashPort system integrated into the down tube allows tools, snacks, or the SmartSense battery to be stored in a dedicated StashBag, while remaining discreet. With top tube bag mounts, discreet fenders, and geometry adapted for long rides, the Synapse is designed to tackle anything.

The road bike for all enthusiasts

Whether you’re aiming for records or a Sunday ride with friends, the Synapse offers a unique combination of speed, comfort, and technology. With its aerodynamic design, innovations like the SystemBar R-One handlebar, and its ability to adapt to every cyclist, it redefines what a road bike can be. Discover the Synapse at cannondale.com.
