Apollo Tyres Ltd has unveiled the Vredestein Superpasso Pro, the first model in a new range of performance-oriented road bike tires. This tire, designed for competitors and demanding enthusiasts, stands out with significant improvements in efficiency, durability, and comfort compared to its predecessor.
Available in three sizes (700x25C, 700x28C, 700x32C) and in Tubeless-Ready (TLR) and Tube Type versions, the Superpasso Pro incorporates “TriComp” technology, which uses distinct rubber compounds for the tread and sidewalls. This design optimizes rolling resistance, puncture protection, and grip on dry or wet roads. The harder center of the tread reduces rolling resistance, while the softer shoulders improve cornering grip.
The tire also benefits from “Active Control” technology for TLR versions, with an innovative bridge-shaped design replacing the traditional central overlap. This structure makes the tire lighter, faster, and improves control while maintaining comfort. A reinforced protection layer enhances puncture resistance.
Compared to the previous model, the Superpasso Pro offers 14% reduced rolling resistance, 23% improved puncture protection, and an 8% lighter weight. These characteristics make it a suitable choice for professional cyclists and enthusiasts seeking performance and reliability.
Extensively tested by the professional BEAT Cycling Club team in the Netherlands, the tire has been validated under demanding racing and training conditions. The team’s feedback helped ensure that the Superpasso Pro meets the expectations of high-level cyclists.
