Trek and Shimano Unveil an Exclusive Collaboration: the Project One ICON Chroma DURA-ACE
Trek and Shimano once again combine their expertise to launch a rolling work of art: the Project One ICON Chroma DURA-ACE paint scheme. Announced today from Waterloo, Wisconsin, this creation celebrates the legendary heritage of Shimano DURA-ACE groupsets, which have equipped the industry’s highest-performing bikes for decades, including the first models from the Project One configurator more than 20 years ago.
An Alliance at the Peak of Innovation
This is not the first collaboration between Trek and Shimano, but this third Project One bike designed in tandem marks a major step. This project embodies a common vision: to push the boundaries of design, innovation, and craftsmanship in the world of cycling.
Exclusively available on the Trek Madone SLR 9 road bike, the Chroma DURA-ACE paint scheme draws direct inspiration from the aesthetics of DURA-ACE components. The deep black frame reflects the elegance of the crankset, while touches of blue, taken from the iconic LED of DURA-ACE derailleurs, energize the whole. The ribbed design of the DURA-ACE hoods adorns the seat tube and head tube, adding a subtle texture to the bike’s fluid and aerodynamic silhouette.
