Zwift Companion reaches a new level
The Zwift Companion app undergoes a major revamp to become an even more powerful tool. Starting April 8, users will enjoy a modernized design that puts performance first. Among the new features is the ability to set personalized weekly goals based on time, distance, calories burned, stress points, or kilojoules expended.

But that’s not all: the app introduces the Training Score, a simple and intuitive measure that evaluates long-term physical fitness by combining training volume and intensity into a single daily figure. Added to this is the Training Status, an indicator based on training load over 42 days (long term) and fatigue over 7 days (short term). This status comes in five levels:
- Ready: ready to start (or restart).
- Fresh: in top shape for a challenge.
- Productive: consistent training, optimal recovery.
- Overreaching: intense effort, rest needed.
- Detraining: loss of fitness due to decreased activity.
The outdoors comes to Zwift
For a more global view of progression, Zwift Companion now integrates data from outdoor rides recorded via Garmin and Wahoo devices (Hammerhead compatibility planned for this summer). Once permissions are activated in Zwift Connections, this data will enrich the Training Score and Training Status. Zwifters will also be able to view their weekly training history directly in the app.

A second update, scheduled for summer, will go even further with improved screens to track long-term fitness trends, including the evolution of Training Score, Training Status, and weekly Streaks. Bonus for subscribers: every kilometer ridden outdoors will earn 5 XP, and outdoor rides will help maintain Streaks (consecutive training series).
Streaks, a growing phenomenon
Streaks have become a real motivator. Currently, 53% of active Zwifters maintain a streak of at least 4 weeks, and 9% have a Streak of 6 months or more! To celebrate this consistency, Streak Flair makes its appearance: an option activatable in Fun Settings to proudly display one’s streak in Watopia. Associated rewards include:
- 4 weeks: Scotty medallion.
- 12 weeks: Scotty keychain.
- 24 weeks: Animated Scotty waving.
A redesigned interface (HUD) this spring
Zwift’s HUD evolves with features highly requested by the community. Splits (laps) are finally here: activatable via the action bar, they display time, distance, average power, and average heart rate – ideal for interval training.

Another new feature: the display of critical power (5s, 60s, 5min, 20min).
The upper left corner of the HUD becomes fully customizable with new indicators such as left/right power balance, average w/kg, average speed, normalized power (NP), body temperature, and Heat Strain Index (HSI), thanks to the integration of CORE sensors.
Explore new routes in France
Starting April 7, the France map expands with eight new routes, including several cobbled sectors to experience the thrill of Paris-Roubaix Femmes avec Zwift. A Route Chaser Challenge will offer XP bonuses to explorers of these courses.

The Ven-Top climb also receives an update: timed segments visible in the HUD (like on Alpe du Zwift) and a reward wheel at the summit for the most audacious climbers.

The Zwift Ride gets an upgrade
For Zwift Ride users, a welcome option: adjustable cranks (160, 165, 170, 172.5, 175 mm) will be available for purchase starting April 16 on Zwift.com for €99.99. This allows for perfect equipment adjustment.

With this update, Zwift pushes the boundaries of connected training, blending innovation, personalization, and enjoyment.
