New PRO Sirin saddles for women cyclists

PRO Sirin saddles, available in Team and Performance versions, have been designed specifically for female cyclists, combining comfort and performance.

A key component of the bike, the saddle is the primary point of contact with the cyclist and directly influences the riding experience, potentially hindering or improving performance. Until recently, women, especially those aiming for high performance in sprints or competition, had limited options for suitable saddles.

The PRO Sirin Team and Performance models address this demand with a shape designed for women, allowing for a more aerodynamic and aggressive position while maintaining comfort.

Their development is based on data from thousands of postural studies from bikefitting.com. The PRO team collaborated with a female perineum specialist and a group of female testers to refine the design.

The result: a narrow 35 mm saddle nose, an angular transition between front and rear, a raised rear profile, and a 32 mm central cutout. The dual-density EVA foam, firmer at the rear than at the front, and the rounded edges of the cutout optimize comfort.

Manufactured with quality materials, PRO Sirin saddles feature a carbon-reinforced shell, lightweight EVA padding, and a durable, ergonomically applied PU cover.

They are equipped with carbon rails for the Team version and stainless steel for the Performance version, and are offered in two widths: 152 mm or 162 mm.

The name “Sirin” refers to a mythological creature, half-woman, half-bird, renowned for its discretion and speed. According to Niek Verbakel, Marketing Manager at PRO, “these saddles were designed from scratch to meet the needs of high-level female cyclists, with unique features such as the bridge-less cutout. They aim to support intense efforts, whether climbing, sprinting, or during breakaways, while offering increased comfort.”
