Les Copains-Cyfac: an iconic classic

From July 1st to 5th, 2025, Les Copains-Cyfac invites experienced and amateur cyclists to Ambert (Puy-de-Dôme), in the heart of one of France’s largest regional natural parks. For its 37th edition, registered competitors will inaugurate 10 new routes, including the 4 for La Classique, the flagship event of Auvergne’s first cyclosportive. Among the novelties, one of France’s oldest classics confirms its Saturday schedule and moves its finish to the summit of the Col de Chougoirand, offering a finish as demanding as it is spectacular!

1 Classique – 4 routes

Among the four possible routes between 45 and 131 km, each rider chooses, as the kilometers pass, the route best suited to their ambitions. But beware of appearances: the elevation gain could surprise participants! At 1,210 meters, the unprecedented finish at the Col de Chougoirand concludes the race for all 4 routes with a beautiful finish.

This year, the routes have been entirely redesigned with two timed sections that will delight the most competitive riders:

• The Col de Chougoirand (1,210m) for all 4 routes.
• The Col des Supeyres (1,366m) for the longest route of 131 km.

« With its 3,400 meters of positive elevation gain, the 131km Classique has nothing to envy alpine events. It’s a short but challenging route. Alone against the reliefs of Livradois-Forez, everyone can measure themselves against a demanding and authentic nature. In short, this route is at the crossroads of authenticity, challenge, and pleasure. » Mathieu Debarges, head of UC2A
