The “Race to the Sun”, Paris-Nice, starts from Le Perray-en-Yvelines on Sunday, March 9, and finishes on the shores of the Mediterranean in Nice on Sunday, March 16. The program includes 8 stages, including 1 team time trial, 28 climbs and côtes with 3 summit finishes, 1,206 km of racing and 16,100 m of elevation gain across 12 departments. At the start, Denmark’s Jonas Vingegaard is the overwhelming favorite for the general classification. To follow the race closely, find the route, the profiles of each stage, TV broadcast times, and the riders entered for this 83rd edition.

As usual, this event, which crosses France almost diagonally, will offer riders and followers a gradual increase in difficulty, punctuated in the middle by a team time trial in Nièvre. The summit finish at La Loge des Gardes, in the middle of the week, will also be a highlight of the race.
The general classification should become clearer during the final weekend, with a mountain stage towards the Auron resort, then around Nice for the last day. Unless Denmark’s Jonas Vingegaard has already settled everything before the Alpes-Maritimes. Sprinters and punchers will also have their roles to play in this eight-act scenario, both for certain finishes and for the echelons that often animate the race.
