After hanging up their bikes, they decided to leverage their experience to design products that met the real needs of cyclists. Their objective was clear: to offer high-quality, functional, and innovative equipment to enhance every cyclist’s experience.

Over the years, BBB has established itself as a benchmark in the cycling world, offering a wide range of products from components to accessories, including apparel and tools. Today, the brand is present in over 40 countries and continues to innovate to meet the demands of cycling enthusiasts.

Introducing the Valor Flux

The Valor Flux stand out with their large cylindrical Flux lens, offering an extended field of vision and exceptional visual clarity. The frame, made from bio-based materials, is both lightweight and durable, demonstrating BBB’s commitment to the environment.

The anti-fog coating on the inside of the lens ensures clear vision in all circumstances, while the oleophobic coating on the outside effectively repels water and mud. Additionally, a transparent replacement lens (category 0) is included for cloudy days, offering optimal adaptability to changing light conditions.

As avid fans of the American brand Oakley, recognized as a benchmark in the field, we were curious to see how this model would compare to our usual pairs, notably the famous 1996 M Frame, or the Jawbreaker, Sutro, Hydra, or Radar EV Path.

The Valor Flux offer a similarly sized lens, ensuring comparable coverage and protection against external elements. However, the Valor Flux stand out for their design focused on environmental sustainability, an aspect less pronounced in Oakley.

Our Opinion

After several rides with the Valor Flux, we were pleasantly surprised by their comfort. The lens offers visual clarity comparable to Oakley models, and the lightweight frame ensures a comfortable fit, even during long rides.

Although we are not ready to permanently replace our Oakley M Frame, Jawbreaker, Radar EV Path, or the Sutro and Hydra, the Valor Flux have reconciled us with the idea that other brands can compete with Oakley in terms of performance and comfort.

The Valor Flux from BBB represent a serious alternative to Oakley’s flagship models, and thus to other famous brands that our readers appreciate, offering performance, comfort, and environmental respect. The Valor Flux deserve to be considered by cyclists looking for a quality option.
