What if effort became a journey?
While the indoor leisure market, including fitness, weight training, and sports like padel, approaches 10 billion euros in France, home sports are experiencing a real boom (source). However, it often remains marked by a certain monotony. But thanks to the latest technological innovations, home training is reinventing itself: imagine climbing the mythical passes of the Alps, riding along the beaches of California, or exploring the streets of a European capital, without leaving your living room.
More than just an exercise, sport becomes an immersive and motivating experience!
In this spirit, Kinomap and Fit Immersion are teaming up to transform indoor training into an unprecedented adventure. By combining interactive videos and virtual reality, their collaboration opens new perspectives, where each session becomes a gateway to the world and a limitless source of motivation.

A strategic collaboration for immersive training
Fit Immersion, a specialist in virtual reality fitness solutions, has officially joined Kinomap, the world’s largest platform for interactive geolocated videos. This collaboration marks a decisive step in the evolution of home sports practices, by combining immersive routes with advanced interactive features.
With this alliance, Fit Immersion enriches its technological offering and becomes compatible with over 200 brands of connected machines. A compatibility that considerably expands its target audience and simplifies access to interactive sessions for a greater number of users.
« I found it hard to tolerate the indoor bike training that was imposed on us at certain times, due to injuries and breaks. I told myself that by coupling virtual reality with exercise, we could have a much more motivating experience by simulating an outdoor ride », explains Dimitri, founder of Fit Immersion, reflecting on the origin of his project.

Solutions adapted to all athletic profiles
This collaboration focuses on accessibility to offer solutions adapted to different technical configurations and budgets. Three options are available to individuals:
- The Fit Immersion application on Meta Quest: an ideal solution for virtual reality headset owners;
- The Fit Immersion headset for mobile (Mobile 2): an economical version using a smartphone as a screen;
- The Fit Immersion Pro 2 standalone headset: a turnkey solution requiring no additional equipment.
For users who do not have connected bikes, Fit Immersion includes a cadence sensor in its kits, ensuring full interactivity with classic equipment.
Immersive and personalized technology
The partnership allows Fit Immersion and Kinomap to combine their technological strengths for an ever more engaging training experience.
- 360° immersive routes: Users can explore about forty routes filmed in varied landscapes, with realistic sensations of relief and topography;
- Exceptional image quality: Some routes are now available in 11K resolution, offering extraordinary visual immersion. Less powerful smartphones can enjoy a 4K version, provided they have a gyroscope;
- An impressive video library: with 45,000 training videos covering 195 countries, Kinomap offers a diverse choice to meet the expectations of beginners and experienced athletes alike;
- Interactive synchronization: bike resistance is automatically adjusted according to the elevation gain of the selected route, for a realistic and immersive experience. Kinomap also provides geolocated content dedicated to running and rowing. Thus, the app also controls the treadmill’s incline.
Fit Immersion: a 100% pleasure experience
Fit Immersion transforms indoor sport into a moment of escape. Thanks to its 360° immersive videos, the application allows users to travel through the historic centers of the most beautiful cities, explore natural landscapes of breathtaking beauty, or vary destinations infinitely.
True to its mission of promoting pleasure through travel and effort, Fit Immersion caters to everyone: beginner athletes looking for motivation or experienced cyclists wishing to take on challenges in conditions close to reality.
With a virtual reality headset and a speed sensor (or connected equipment), users can explore varied routes from their stationary bike and enjoy total immersion, where every pedal stroke becomes a new adventure.
Fit Immersion is also a French success story. Founded in 2017 in Montpellier by Dimitri Prikhodko, the startup commercialized its application in 2020. Since then, it has attracted thousands of individuals and won over fitness professionals.
In 2021, Fit Immersion even traveled into space: its application was taken to the International Space Station by a French astronaut, with three emblematic routes – Paris, Marseille, and Saint Petersburg.
